Bombardier Global 7500
The longest-range business jet ever built — New York to Singapore non-stop.
History & background.
The Bombardier Global 7500 entered service in late 2018 as the longest-range purpose-built business jet in history. With a maximum range of 14,260 km, it can fly non-stop from New York to Hong Kong, or Tokyo to London — city pairs that previously required a fuel stop. The aircraft seats up to 19 passengers across four living spaces, including a full galley and a permanent private stateroom with a queen-sized bed.
The Global 7500 is powered by General Electric’s Passport engines, a new powerplant developed specifically for the aircraft. The Passport produces 78.4 kN of thrust and is notable for its exceptionally low noise signature at ground level — a selling point for passengers and for slot-restricted airports with night-noise limits. The aircraft holds several city-pair speed records, including the fastest ever non-stop flight between Singapore and Tucson, Arizona.
Bombardier used the Global 7500 to redefine what a business jet can be at the top of the market. The aircraft’s wing is a true supercritical design borrowed from commercial airliner technology, enabling efficient flight at Mach 0.85 cruise while being certified to Mach 0.925 — placing it comfortably ahead of ultra-long-range competitors from Dassault and Gulfstream.
